Robert Jacob’s “Journey to the Awakened Heart” was a great find for me. I’m generally skeptical of spiritual pursuits, but Jacobs’ warm, open style coupled with the amazing detail of his recollections, and the extraordinary story he tells, captivated me. I finished the book in one sitting, then found myself taking a hard look at my own spiritual path, or lack thereof…
“Journey” is a fascinating spiritual adventure story and I recommend it to seekers and skeptics alike.

This is a beautifully written and easy to read story of the outer adventures and the inner awakening of Robert Jacobs. The book begins as his understanding of the world expands though his amost serendipitous travels to Europe, Africa and India, and the marvelous people he meets along the way. As his world expands, an sense arise within him that there is something greater to be found within, and he takes us with him as he meets remarkable beings who illuminate the inner world for him, and guide him to a outer life of service as an immigration lawyer and a husband and father, and an inner life of contemplation and joy.
